Kindergarten Registration Month
Hello everyone,
October will be promoted across our district as "Kindergarten Registration Month." While registration is open all year, we are placing a special emphasis on October to help get the word out early and support families in completing registration as soon as possible.
We are asking all community partners to encourage families of pre-K children (born in 2022) to register their child for Kindergarten using the Parent Portal.
Early registration helps schools plan to welcome the children and ensures families receive all transition-to-school information on time.
Registration is not complete until all required documents are submitted to the Student Welcome Centre:
- Birth certificate
- Proof of address
- Proof of medicare
- Immunization record
- Custody documents, if applicable
After families register, they will receive an email outlining next steps for the Early Years Evaluation (EYE-DA) and instructions on how to book their child's appointment.
