Kindergarten Registration Month

October will be promoted across our district as Kindergarten Registration Month. While Kindergarten registration remains open throughout the year, we are placing special emphasis on October to encourage early registration and support families in completing the process as soon as possible.

We are asking all community partners to help spread the word and encourage families with children born in 2022 to register for Kindergarten through the Parent Portal.

*New Brunswick students who have not yet acquired a New Brunswick Medicare card may use the *SWC Pre-Registration .

Early registration helps schools prepare to welcome new students and ensures families receive important transition-to-school information in a timely manner.

Required Documentation

Registration is not considered complete until all required documents have been submitted to the Student Welcome Centre:

  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of address
  • Medicare card or proof of Medicare coverage
  • Immunization record
  • Custody documents (if applicable)

Once registration is complete and all required registration documents have been submitted, families will receive an email outlining the next steps, including information about the Early Years Evaluation (EYE-DA) and instructions for booking their child's appointment.
